Written plainly, because you should not need a lawyer to understand what happens to your details.
MathBridge Academy is a private mathematics academy founded and run by Lerato Molisana. If you have any question about your information, write to info@mathbridge.academy.
When you fill in a form on this site we receive what you typed into it. Depending on the form that may include the student’s name and year of study, a parent’s name, an email address, and anything written in a free text box.
If you sit The Portrait we also keep your answers and the written assessment we prepare from them.
To reply to you, to arrange a sitting or hold a place, and to teach you if you join us. That is all. We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing.
Most of our students are at school. Our forms ask for a parent’s name and email alongside the student’s, and we write to the parent as well as the student. If you are under eighteen, please fill in a form together with a parent or guardian.
We add you to The Rooted Mathematician only if you tick the box asking us to, or if you apply, sit The Portrait, join the waitlist, or register for the Practice Room. Every letter carries a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.
Two services help us run the academy. Form submissions reach us through Web3Forms, and this site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Each handles your information only in order to provide that function. Nothing else on this site loads from anywhere but this domain, so simply reading these pages sends your details to nobody.
Both providers are based outside South Africa, so wherever you are writing from, your information is processed internationally. We keep the list of them as short as we can, and we will say here if it changes.
This site sets no cookies of its own. It runs no advertising trackers and no analytics. If you sit an assessment, your answers are saved in your own browser as you go, so that you can close the page and come back to it. That copy stays on your device.
Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are kept for no more than a year. Records for students who join us, including assessments, are kept while you are with us and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you ask us to delete something sooner, we will.
Wherever you live, you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to be written to. Write to info@mathbridge.academy and we will act on it. We do not ask you to prove which country you are in before we do.
We are based in South Africa and follow the Protection of Personal Information Act. Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we honour the same rights it gives you. If you believe we have handled your information badly, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa, or to the data protection authority where you live.
If this notice changes we will update this page and the date below.
