There is no single application. Each way into MathBridge has its own first step, and each one is short. Here is how they work.
The one to one path begins with a short assessment called The Portrait. Over two sittings it looks at how you read mathematics, how you set your reasoning down, and what you do when you are stuck. Not how many marks you drop. It ends with a written account of how you work and a clear recommendation for where to start.
Its fee of R1 500 credits in full to any course that follows. If one to one is not the right fit for you now, we will say so, and point you to what is.
Places open a few times a year, a small number at a time. Every lesson is yours alone. If the current intake is closed, please join the waitlist.
The Prologue runs in small groups a few times a year, for students beginning Higher Level mathematics in the IB Diploma. There is no assessment to sit. A short readiness check confirms the group will suit you. Then you reserve your place, and we hold it until the cohort is full.
Mathematics is a language, and a language stays alive by being spoken a little, often. The Practice Room is a set of problems each Monday and a written commentary each Saturday, opening in January 2027. When it does, you simply join, at R500 a month. Whichever way you begin, we read everything ourselves.
The students who do best here are curious, ready to ask questions and willing to stay with a hard idea. We reply to everyone personally, whether or not a place is offered.
